OUR SERVICES RANGE FROM simple forensic imaging (also known as a forensic collection) to complete analysis of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) or Electronically Stored Data (EDS). Not all our services are “technical” in nature – we also provide assistance to you and your legal team on how to interview custodians, prepare for depositions and how to understand some of the technical data that you have to present in your case.

SOME OF THE MAJOR SERVICES WE PROVIDE ARE:

Forensic Imaging/Collection Services:
The key to a successful forensic or eDiscovery case, in our opinion, starts with the imaging (or collection) process. You often get one chance to get the correct data correctly – this means getting the pertinent data in a forensically sound manner so that there is no contamination of evidence. Using untrained or unqualified personnel for collection purposes can lead to opposing Counsel questioning the evidence and the methodology used. We use tested and verified, industry standard forensic hardware and software to collect and image your data thereby preserving its integrity.

Cellphone/PDA Examinations:
We forget how much pertinent data is on our mobile devices. Blackberries, iPads, iPhones, Smartphones, Cellphones and PDAs may all contain evidence. We also forget to include them as part of our case. We will assist you in making data available from these devices.

Forensic Analysis:
Along with every forensic collection comes some sort of analysis. Forensic Analysis of data can include any of the following:
    • Simple production of documents
    • Keyword searches for respondent documents
    • Extraction and keyword search of emails
    • Full-out analysis of the data based
Our trained Examiners will work with you in assessing your case and providing you with the best method for how to proceed

Data Restoration and Recovery:
    • Did your computer fail and you have lost your data?
    • Did the SD card in your camera die and your photos are gone?
    • Did an employee delete data from their computer before they left?
Whether it is restoring data that has been deleted inadvertently due to a device-fail or device-format; or recovering data that has been deliberately deleted, we use numerous recovery programs to try to get it back for you. Even if your hard drive has failed, we may be able to get the data back, BUT the key is to secure your hard drive as soon as you realize you have lost data. The more you use it, the less the chances of recovery. You need to contact us immediately and make arrangements for us to take custody of the device so we can work on getting your data back.

HR/Employee Forensic Services:
We work with HR and Risk Management personnel to craft a response plan in case of internal employee issues.
    • Should you image an employee’s hard drive?
    • Which employees drives should be preserved upon separation from the company?
    • How do you proceed in the event of an internal investigation?
Internal investigations generally turn into civil or criminal cases and we will help you formulate a plan on how to handle these cases internally so that if they do become anything else, the nature of the evidence and data has been properly protected.

eDiscovery Support:
Many law firms and corporations we work with have litigation support departments within their organization. These departments work closely with Attorneys, Legal, and Risk Management departments to provide them with the documents that they need in support of litigation. The majority of these departments do not have the training or the ability to forensically collect, image, analyze and extract the required data. We will work with your litigation support personnel in getting the data you need for your case so they can provide that information to you in your case-management software of choice. We also partner with providers that let you use their case-management software and servers to host your case data.

FRCP Compliance:
With recent and ongoing changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as it relates to ESI or ESD, and Courts becoming increasingly sensitive to how it is handled, you need to have knowledgeable personnel on your side. With Zubyx on your side, your data and evidence will be handled in a way that will be accepted by the Courts.
